“THE FATHER AND I ARE ONE” (Jn 10: 30)

Someone who claims to be a knowledgeable with the New Testament told me that Jesus is inferior to the Father and is not God. His sect claims to be Christian but nontrinitarian. It was disappointing as he used to be Catholic. However, I kept calm and explained the contradiction He just said.
First, the “New Testament” his sect is using is not the New Testament of the Catholic Church, but rather a modified, biased and unscholarly translation which members of his sect wrote.
In the New Testament Gospel of St. John which Christians are using, the following teachings of Jesus clearly states that:
John 10:30: “The Father and I are one.
John 14:9: Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and you still do not know me? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.
John 5: 22-24: “The Father judges no one but has given all judgment to the Son, 23 so that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Anyone who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. 24 Very truly, I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come under judgment, but has passed from death to life.”
John 17:11: “And now I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one, as we are one.”
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven.

“This is what the Catholic faith teaches: we worship one God in the Trinity and the Trinity in unity. We distinguish among the persons, but we do not divide the substance… For the Father is a distinct person; the Son is a distinct person; and the Holy Spirit is a distinct person. Still the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit have one divinity, equal glory, and coeternal majesty. What the Father is, the Son is, and the Holy Spirit is… the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. But there are not three gods, but one God”

Dear brethren in Christ, be very careful. People would invite you to Bible study clases but you should be prudent not to accept immediately and inquire first what group they belong to and whether they are Catholic at all.
If you are already attending a study group and IF ANYONE TELLS YOU THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LESS THAN GOD THE FATHER BECAUSE JESUS IS HIS DIRECT CREATION AND HENCE IS NOT GOD, BEWARE, HE IS NOT TEACHING THE TRUTH GIVEN TO US BY CHRIST AND TAUGHT BY THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. Leave that group immediately because it is harmful for you and your Catholic faith.
A Blessed day and week ahead!
