OLYMPIC MALE ATHLETES PRAY AS WELL!
Zaza Nadiradze, from Georgia, thanks God and makes the Sign of the Cross.

After winning his semifinal heat in the men’s canoe single 200 meters, Zaza Nadiradze, from Georgia, makes an edifying gesture: he takes off his cap, bows his head down, thanking Our Lord, and finally makes the sign of the Cross of Orthodox Catholics.

On another occasion, the US diving duo after winning the silver medal in the 10m platform pray together with their coach, thanking God’s goodness and admitting that they are just His instruments.

It is encouraging to see men, athletes, who do not feel ashamed of publicly manifesting their faith in God.

Hope Zaza’s good example and that of other Olympian athletes would inspire both men and women alike to publicly give witness of their faith to God.

Good luck Zaza on the finals!
