OFFER SACRIFICES FOR SINNERS
Our Lady, as the best of all mothers in the world, wants the best for us, her children. This is the reason why she pleads us to offer sacrifices for the conversion of sinners and in reparation for the sins of mankind.
Our daily life provides a lot of opportunities to offer small, constant sacrifices: biting our tongue, overcoming our laziness, smiling when we’re tired, punctuality in our work, guarding our sight, making good use of our time, helping someone in need and the list goes on… These sacrifices or mortifications, aside from helping other people, making life pleasant for others, also lead us to acquire good habits or virtues, which in turn conform us to Christ.
