SPOUSES: DON’T FORGET TO PRAY FOR EACH OTHER DAILY.
Do you pray for your spouse daily? …Conjugal love consists in desiring not only the earthly but also the heavenly happiness of one’s spouse. As such, praying daily for one’s spouse, is a concrete manifestation of love which must not be overlooked.
Aside from praying for each other, spouses must also pray together, for this will assure God’s presence in their life. Let us remind ourselves of Our Lord’s words: “Without me, you can do nothing (Jn 15:5).”
Only when God is the center of one’s personal life, shall He be the center of their married and family life. And when God reigns, humility, love, peace, unity, forbearance, patience, pardon etc., will prevail in spite of the inevitable errors one could commit: virtues which are necessary for a happy, lasting, faithful marriage and family life.
