MAY ALL CREATION PRAISE
AND GLORIFY YOU, LORD!
Prayer vid + full text.
Some weeks ago, I, with my brothers in the Work, went to an excursion to the Parque Natural de Cabárceno in Cantabria, Spain. It was not only a very pleasant and enjoyable visit to the hundred-hectare nature park, frequented by families from all parts of Spain, but also a wonderful opportunity to praise and thank Our Lord in all His creatures, together with the three children, who in the fiery furnace, praised the Lord in the canticle gathered in Dan. 3, 57-88; 56
“Bless the Lord, all you works of the Lord; praise and exalt him above all forever…all you fowls of the air, bless the Lord. All you beasts and cattle, bless the Lord. sons of men, bless the Lord.”
Let us not forget the through His creation, God can be known by the human reason as its ultimate cause: “When he listens to the message of creation and to the voice of conscience, man can arrive at certainty about the existence of God, the cause and the end of everything. (Catechism, n. 46)”.
God can and must be praised, adored and glorified in and by all His creatures as well.
“The world was created for the glory of God who wished to show forth and communicate his goodness, truth and beauty. The ultimate end of creation is that God, in Christ, might be “all in all” (1 Corinthians 15:28) for his glory and for our happiness.” Compendium of the Catechism, n. 53.
Let us then make it a habit to elevate our hearts worshipping and thanking God for His Goodness and Kindness as shown by the beauty of His works.
“Spirits and souls of the just, bless the Lord;
holy men of humble heart, bless the Lord.
Let us bless the Father and the Son, with the Holy Spirit;
let us praise and exalt him above all for ever.
Blessed are you, Lord, in the firmament of heaven;
and worthy of praise, and glorious above all for ever.”
Cf. Daniel 3: 57-88
