LET’S PREPARE FOR THE SOLEMNITY OF CHRIST THE KING.
Dear brethren in Christ, next Sunday, the last Sunday of the liturgical cycle, we are going to celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe or Christ the King, for short. I encourage you all to prepare for this great solemnity by repeating the short prayer, “Regnare Christum volumus (We want Christ to reign!)”
We want Christ to reign in the entire world, in our own country, in all human activities, in our homes, and in the hearts and lives of countless souls, and since we desire his reign to be a reality and not only a jubilant sentiment, let us ask ourselves on how we can make this into reality in our own personal life and put the necessary remedy so that His Kingdom will be in us through the Sacrament of Confession. With Christ reigning in our soul in grace, only then He would reign in our life, in our home, and so on.
Jesus, King of the Universe, may I allow you always to reign in my mind, my will, my heart, my senses, my body, and my soul! Mary, Queen of Heaven and earth, pray for us!
