LET US PRAY FOR
THE SPIRITUAL FRUITS OF HOLY WEEK.
The Holy Week is about to start and many people have already planned on how to spend these days, or have already arrived at their places of destination for these days.
Whatever their plans may be, let us all unite ourselves and pray for the spiritual fruits of these days during which we commemorate Our Lord’s saving plan to destroy sin and redeem the entire humanity, through His Passion, Death and Resurrection, which is also known as the Paschal Mystery.
Our first intention is to pray that many people would realise the profound significance of Holy Week: God loves us so much that He willed that His Son suffer and die on the Cross.
- May people not only settle to live these days in a superficial manner, focusing on rest and vacation.
There are a lot of activities to be held in all places:
- Pilgrimages
- Processions
- Spiritual retreats
- Penitential days for confession
- Youth camps
- Way of the Cross
- Prayer meetings
- Offices proper to Holy Week, in particular, during Holy Thursday and Good Friday
Let us also ask God to touch the hearts of as many people as possible, stirring them to an authentic conversion and a more committed Christian life.
Finally ask God so that many people would live the Holy Week in the best possible way: to live it in a HOLY manner.
