HOLY FAMILY, MAY WE SHOW OUR LOVE AND GIVE JOY TO OUR FAMILY!
In the previous post, we asked the Holy Family of Nazareth to protect, keep and bless our families so that we may be united in love and they may lead us to eternal joy.
Unity in love and giving joy to others is a task of each and every member of the family. In a recent conversation, a friend told me how happy he is this Christmas. The reason? His children are so affectionate with him, giving him tight hugs and kissing him frequently. I am so glad for him and thought how easy it is to make others, especially our parents, happy if we children were to show them gestures of affection and love.
Are you affectionate to your spouse, children, parents and siblings? Do you give them joy and avoid that which disrupts the, peace and unity in the family?
As a preparation for the Solemnity of the Holy Family, may we also learn to be generous in showing our love and affection to all the members of our family, thus, giving them this profound joy. And may this attitude be long-lasting, for in the end, after God, family is what matters.
