COME, HOLY SPIRIT!
If you still don’t know by heart a prayer to God the Holy Spirit, here’s a good one which I learned as a gradeschooler (1971-78) in San Beda College (Manila) where all elementary students begin the day gathering at the quadrangle to say this morning prayer and then sing the National Anthem, before we head to our classrooms.
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created and Thou shall renew the face of the earth.
O God, who instructed the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
